MORE UPDATES: NaNo Camp

Well.
I did the thing.
I wrote the words.
I made it to 50K.
Cue huge sigh of relief.

I DID IT, GUYS.

YAHOOOOOOOOO!

Okay, celebration over. Why? Besides the face that I got a whole collection of SUPER COOL goodies (seriously, I got a certificate), I still have a novel to complete. To cut a long story short, my novel is not going to be tiny. It is, in fact, going to be extremely long. For some odd reason, my author self has decided to twist the plot a little bit... And it's extended itself quite a bit. For instance, I'm at exactly 50,083 words and I only have introduced three main characters. That leaves at least two more. Think about it. Two climaxes (totally opposite from one another), two lengthy backstories, and two new charries to write about. That's going to take a long time. /cries/

But it's okay. I met my goal, and I'm happy about it.

The rest of the month will be spent warring with Hannah, which is a pretty awesome idea to me.

Other types of updates:

I got my driver's permit (cue dramatic Marvel driving music).
I reached 200 pages in my WIP.
I redesigned my blog.
And KATIE blew all the stats away and finished her novel with PLENTY of time to spare. I am jumping up and down in my seat to hear about it... But she still hasn't given anything away. /pouts/

It's been a pretty awesome week, y'all!

Good luck with the rest of NaNo!

How are you doing with NaNo? Have you reached your goal yet?

    2. Embarrassingly, I just remembered that I'm moving across the United States near the end of July. *scolds brain for not remembering* xD But maybe... if I get a story idea... and have the time... I'll participate. Camp sounds AH-MA-ZING. :D

    4. I'm moving to Huntsville Alabama. :) I'm quite used to moving; my family's in the military, so we do it every year or two.

I hope to try camp before, though... if I get a story idea. :) Are you one of those writers who gets ideas easily, or... no? Cause it's a little hard for me. :P

    5. Oh, that's nice; though moving is still rough :)

And, no... I would not say that I get ideas easily xD Usually, they come to me in the strangest ways. But if I get a random idea, asking questions about it helps coach my brain into the train of thought that leads to a story.
