We all knew it was coming.

Today is the day, folks. 

Mhmm. 

I'm finally going to talk about one of my absolute favorite things in existent. And, no, we are not discussing chocolate, pizza, twenty one pilots, empty notebooks, gel pens, Taylor Swift, old books, or g-free snickerdoodles. No, no, and no. Although, I should really start posting about these things. 

Today, we are talking about Pinterest. Yes, Pinterest. 

Pinterest is amazing. For real, though. I adore Pinterest. And there are few things in this life that I actually adore. Well, if you disregard my running list. 

Anywhozies. 

PINTEREST. CAN WE JUST TAKE A MOMENT TO APPRECIATE PINTEREST BECAUSE IT'S SO BRILLIANT AND ORGANIZED. 

Thank you. 

I'm going to make a rather true statement now. 

Pinterest is a writer's best friend. 

Bosom friend. 

BFF. 

Mostly companion. 

Whatever your cup of tea is, Pinterest is WHERE IT'S AT. 

You can save literally anything on the internet to come back and view later. How amazing is that? Seriously though. I might not need tips on installing cabinets todayyy, but, hey, if and when I need ideas in the cabinetry area, Pinterest has my back. And, yeah, I might be a sheltered homeschooler who never has any hope to go to prom or anything... But if the opportunity presents itself, I HAVE FIFTEEN MAKEUP TUTORIALS AND DRESS OPTIONS SAVED. Don't even get me started on wedding dresses. I know, what the heck, right? I'm pretty sure that I have my wedding planned already. Any prospects on the guy, you might ask? Ummm. I have several pins about that. 

Back to writing, Petra. Calm thyself, you snickerdoodle addict (I don't even know, people). 

If I'm procrastinating one random afternoon, I can easily get on Pinterest and do some serious 'research'. You know, easiest exposed stab places (for cruel and unusual punishment), how much the average white horse weighs, and the best ways to run in a floor-length formal. Plus, I can tirelessly search for easy distinctions on homonyms. Seriously, guys, is it effect or affect? Than or then? 

No judgement, okay? Being a writers is hard work. Pajamas, endless tea and chocolate, and constant Pinterest surfing. It's a very trying career. 

JUST KIDDING. 

I'm not throwing my rare and beautiful species of fellow authors under the bus, I PROMISE. Writing is hard... And that's why I've compiled this beautimous list of reasons why every writer should use Pinterest. 

1. Inspiration. 

I'm randomly picking five of my Writing Inspiration pins, just for emphasis.

2. Ideas. 

I can't tell you how many times I've heard that too familiar phrase, "I just don't have any ideas." 

Pinterest gives you ideas, FOR FREE.

3. Vivid Description. 

Sometimes, I just can't put my finger on how to describe something? Is it a sunset? An animal? An actual character? I can easily type some words into the search bar, and it will provide with countless pins to go off of. 

Recently, I spent a bunch of time dedicated to creating character collages for one of my WIPs.

All of these images were found on Pinterest. I can't tell you how long it took me to find pictures of people who look like each other. Imagine working with 7 siblings, 2 of which are twins. It wasn't easy, folks. But I'm pretty proud of the results.
